Incitec Fertilizers, one of Australia's leading fertilizer companies, has its operations spread extensively throughout the eastern seaboard of Australia. Some 160 sites form the asset portfolio managed by the Incitec Logistics Group alone.

Outsourced Environmental staff developed and today maintain a simple yet comprehensive Environmental Management System (EMS). This EMS facilitates a program to identify potential impacts & risks arising from Incitec Fertilizers operations and a pro-active process to drive continual and net environmental improvement.

This project has particular significance given that Incitec Dealer Customers operate from around 100 of the Incitec facilities and perform a range of rural merchandise, fertilizer & crop protection activities as well as having workshops, industrial wash down & fuel storage facilities. Today, this EMS system is delivering tangible benefits to the company through improved environmental performance, safer and cleaner operations, and management of historical environmental issues, more pro-active work place culture, greater employee environmental awareness and closer relationships with valued dealer customers.
